Marcia Cooper - Painter
My paintings often focus on figures that fit comfortably within the colors, shapes and textures of the natural landscape. The aim is to instill a feeling of contentment as we settle into quiet moments by ourselves or while interacting with companions in these serene surroundings. At other times, my paintings envision the surreal walls of architectural structures with the fabric of the earth appearing to unfold from one step to the next.
My work has been heading in a direction that aims to engage people to think about sustainable and diverse housing options, while prioritizing the protection of our precious natural resources.
